You may think that preparing brandy truffle box filled with truffles is very hard to do because of the liqueur filling. But things are not that complicated.

Truffle Boxes

All you need in the first place are the ingredients: 2 packets of coconut biscuits, 200g each, 200g of nuts, 200g chocolate, 200mg milk chocolate and 100ml syrup and icing sugar. Together with 130 - 170ml of brandy, you will end up with around 60 truffles (you can always use rum essence or any brandy you prefer).

Now comes the more complex part, the actual preparing of the brandy truffles in the truffle box. First, crush the biscuits into very fine crumbs. You can use a knife and a lot of patience, or you can use a food processor. Next, chop the pecan nuts into very small pieces. But be careful not to cut the pieces too small so you do not transform the nuts into a powder. Now turn your attention to the milk chocolate and brake it into pieces and place in a deep 3.5L glass bowl. Now also add the syrup. Place the mixture in the microwave oven and cook the mixture for about 2 minutes open, at 50% power until the chocolate has melted. Add biscuit crumbs, nuts and brandy to the chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly.

This is the messier part of the procedure, as you need to use your hands for this. You can use gloves or you can put some butter on your hands not to get sticky. After stirring thoroughly the mixture, roll it into small balls and use the icing sugar to coat it. When you have created the shapes, place them on a baking tray and place them in the fridge. Allow them cool down. After they have cooler, they will preserve their shape and if you keep them chilled, you can store them for up to four weeks.

Do not worry if your truffles don't have the exact taste like the Belgium truffle boxes you bought from the store. Keep trying and try combining different combinations of chocolate and brandy until you are satisfied with the result.
